All My Single Ladies ... Love Valentine's Day

Awe, the sometimes dreaded pseudo-holiday is fast approaching: Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day or “V-Day” as we like to call it (it resembles D-Day which has a negative connotation), has a love-hate relationship with women. For those in loving and fun relationships, Valentine’s Day can be a romantic and exciting day filled with flowers, chocolate and whatever else is on the agenda. But for the millions of single women in America, this day is dreaded. Like paying taxes or doing laundry, we understand that Valentine’s Day is something we have to experience, but we truly question its significance and importance in a long list of other responsibilities or experiences that are just as daunting.

I’m of the mindset that every day should be celebrated, and this day is no different. For all the single ladies (thank you, Beyonce), there's no reason to let a single day out of 365 in a year, get you down! Whether you are happily in love or single on this day, we suggest that you focus on loving yourself. Take a time-out to do something good for yourself, be it a massage, mani/pedi, or just watching your favorite movie

So, Happy Valentine's Day everyone and remember that no matter what, you come first!

This is so true! Especially if Valentines Day falls on a week day, everyone in the office has a pretty good idea who is enjoying their day and who is counting down the minutes till they can leave...It's true right! Personally, I've usually had a date every year, with the exception of this past February. My boyfriend of four years and I broke it off just a week before. I was so devastated but instead of getting myself down, I made a profile on one of those dating services and voila, I had a date! He definitely regretted the decision to break up once he saw the pics on facebook. Guess you can't win 'em all :)
