Cancer touches each and every one of us at some point in our lives. Whether you are diagnosed with this horrific disease, or you know someone who is, it can impact your life greatly. I recently had a cousin diagnosed with colon cancer, a 40-year-old mother of two. Statistically, she didn’t fall into the category of someone who was at risk for colon cancer. After a very invasive surgical procedure and many months of chemotherapy, she’s now in remission, but emotionally the scars are still prevalent. Even if a person is in remission or even cured, the emotional impact cancer leaves on a person and a family can be ongoing.
