
I’m a natural blonde (honest!), but lately the highlighting I used to do once or twice a year to punctuate my light locks has become necessary in order to actually achieve my former “natural” blondeness. Instead of going gray, as many of my peers have, I’ve gotten annoyingly darker as I get older--but not a lovely, rich, glossy, dark color; no, a lifeless, nondescript mousy brown.
