Women of all ages need to be conscious of their heart health and the simple things they can do to improve it.  Lacing up your sneakers and going for a walk a couple hours a week can reduce your stroke risk by 30 percent.  In addition to lowering your risk of stroke, walking promotes a healthy immune system, assists in blood pressure control, and contributes to overall wellness.  Walking can also help reduce depression, stress and anxiety… Not to mention keep you in shape and help you get fit!

Another great benefit to walking- you can do it at any age and any pace!! Not to mention, walking is one workout that’s completely and totally free.  Go for a walk with your dog or take your kid to the park- and improve your heart health while you’re there!  So, go ahead ladies…lace up and reduce your risk!!
