The 2012 Golden Globes were a Hollywood highlight with so many women setting the stage with grace and glamour and the men providing a foundation of classic charm. Some of the highlights from this year’s event were Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who paired up with matching restraint that gave them an ethereal quality that all stars should possess.

Brimming with joy was newlywed Reese Witherspoon in a stunning red gown that barely contained her best assets. While her hair stayed basically unkempt and free she still wowed from the inside out.

While glitz and glamour and bling abound, holding the title for most expensive outfit must be Modern Family star and Golden Globe winner, Sofia Vergara, with nearly $5 million worth of the Harry Winston gems dripping from her body.

While a little black dress usually has its place in red carpet events, it was certainly nice to see a change of pace and a large number of bright and colorful gowns accented by soft and feminine nude hued ones.
