This week, a skincare cream being called the “holy grail” of anti-aging, is causing quite a stir in the UK. It’s Yves Saint Laurent’s Forever Youth Liberator. More than 5,000 women in the UK have already pre-ordered the product which claims to make skin look younger as well as rejuvenate the skin. Forever Youth Liberator, hitting markets next week, is projected to change the anti-aging industry.
After reading press statements like “The science behind the brand lies in the groundbreaking technology of Glycobiology," or "It's been noted as the future in the medical field, the fruit of more than 100 years of research and recognized by seven Nobel Prizes, " or "the cream has been 20 years in development", it is hard not to be curious about this product.
Forever Youth Liberator contain glycans, which is a synthetic versions of naturally-occurring sugars in the which aids in rejuvenation. When the product was tested on 50 women, 9 of 10 women found their skin more radiant and 72% said fine lines appeared less visible. Amandine Ohayon, general manager of Yves Saint Laurent, explains:
“This is one of the most amazing scientific breakthroughs we have discovered in relation to anti-ageing...The products are set to be the holy grail of anti-ageing for many women given their proven efficacy…Glycobiology is opening up a whole new area of possibilities when it comes to skincare. “We’re just at the very start of it and are already excited.”
