Freedom of speech is great and all but why do some people choose to offend others with their choice of words? A news segment aired on Houston's KRIV-FOX 26 where guest Bryan Fischer, head of the American Family Association, had some hurtful, demeaning, and critical words regarding homosexuality topics in the popular hit show "Glee."

His anti-gay attitude is evident in his statement. Being gay "is conduct that bears enormous psychological and physical risks to those that engage in it." GLADD is not thrilled with the remarks and strongly encourage the news station and Fischer to apologize for saying anti-gay and hurtful remarks.

There has been more and more support for the gay and lesbian community and "Glee" is one show in particular that clearly addresses serious topics involving homosexual characters that inspires many of its fans. Good job "Glee"!

After having dated for seven years, the long wait Kate Middleton endured for Prince William's proposal will be so worth it! Why? Well first off she's becoming a princess at this Friday's Royal Wedding (known as Princess Catherine thereafter), and secondly she gets other awesome perks that come along with the job.

-Royal security everywhere she goes.

-Luxurious city flat in St. James Palace in London.

-A heraldry--a family symbol representing marrying into royalty.

-Bling, bling! And lots of it. Only the finest jewels for a Princess.

-The best designer shoes possible. Princess Diana loved Jimmy Choo.

-A personal assistant, known as a Head Lady in England, which will most likely be Kate's sister, Pippa.

Oh, and did we mention being able to crash at Buckingham Palace whenever the couple is in London visiting the Queen? Well, I guess this goes to show good things come to those who wait.

This week is Earth Week and the Hollywood Goes Green effort is encouraging everyone to save our earth by conserving energy and reducing waste. Stars, like Heidi Klum, have shared their personal tips on how they are helping save the planet, and it's all about being resourceful!

Heidi's advice? "I try not to be so wasteful. Not to buy so many things, and food or to teach the kids not to throw things away or put everything on their plate that they're not going to have. I think you have to start small in order to also make a difference. I think it is a good start."

Other earth-friendly celebrities doing good deeds are Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston, and Matt Damon--all of them doing whatever they can when it comes to aiding the environment like driving hybrid cars.

So remember, use earth-friendly products and help save our planet!

Who knew having your period would ever be fashionable! Well, kind of. Kotex and is teaming up with "Sex and the City" wardrobe designer, Patricia Field, to host a contest to redesign the bland maxi pad that has stressed and haunted women for years.

The contest, Ban the Bland, is open to anyone over the age of 14, whose creativity is set to revamp the plain white maxi pad. Designer Patricia Field said she was "inspired by the idea of bringing some excitement to the dull world of feminine hygiene. I don't know a thing about wearing white. I see a world that's very colorful and textured with, like, ice flying through it."

Hmmm ... interesting and necessary? Well, the cool thing about this contest is the winner will have the chance to win a trip to Fall Fashion Week in New York City! What do you think? Are you going to submit your design?

When we first saw the photos of NBC's new television series, Wonder Woman, and the outfit she was supposed to wear, we weren't so into the pants. We're glad other fans agree with us! Because so many people have written to television executives and producers expressing their dislike for the new outfit, the current outfit will undergo a makeover and the iconic short blue shorts will be brought back!

The president of NBC stated:

"There was an initial outcry about the long pants—you know, skintight pants as opposed to those little shorts [worn by Lynda Carter in the original TV series], but the shorts were always planned. They are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale [Elizabeth Hurley]."

Good! We're excited the shorts are making a comeback!
