Tone your thighs and calves with rear lunges. Noelle Rox, Pilates and Fitness Guru, says start standing with feet together and step one leg back into a lunge position, bending both knees at 90 degree angles. Do not let knees go past your toes. Alternate lunges behind you with your hands on your hips. Keep the weight into the front heel and keep back heel lifted, without shifting the weight to the back foot. As you alternate the legs, keep your posture tall and upright with your abdominals engaged and the chest lifted. Think of staying light on your feet and really squeeze your buns together as you press into the front heel to stand back up. Alternate legs for 20 reps.
