I recently tried Josie Maran’s Magic Marker Lip & Cheek Stain. This magic marker is a god-save when I'm in a rush to … anywhere! The sleek, slender tube is easily stored in your compact or in your pocket. The magic marker is also available in six vibrant shades. The six beautiful colors are extra-pigmented, and have a long-lasting formula.

I tried Josie Maran’s Magic Marker Lip & Cheek Stain in Jive, which has a pink and red tint to it. When applying the Lip & Cheek Stain, it looks almost like a sheer pink. However, when you apply it, it gives you a darker, beautiful color on your lips. Plus, applying the color multiple times can give your lips an intense hue. If you make the mistake of applying too much, just use your fingers to blend the color in! The fabric pen tip helps with easy application and enables you to be precise. But when it came to applying the stain on the cheeks, it was a little harder to smooth it out. I ended up with some blotchy areas.

One another thing I noticed is like the majority of lip stains, it does dry the skin out on your lips. So applying a moisturizer or exfoliating can give you the best results.

Something I loved is that this lip stain lasted for quite a while! The longest the lip stain stayed on was four hours -- it even stayed on through dinner and kisses! This lip stain from Josie Maran was very refreshing and natural!

When it comes to lipstick, I’m never very adventurous, even though I know I could be a little more daring. I find one shade and one brand that works, and I use it until they stop making it. I’m already a huge fan of tarte products, so I was excited to try their LipSurgence™ natural matte lip stain in “hope”!

Ladies, I’ll confess—I don’t like to spend a large amount of time on my makeup in the mornings. So, if it’s easy enough to put on in my car, it usually becomes part of my daily makeup regimen.
