Philip B Light-Weight Deep Conditioning Crème Rinse

I am in love with hair treatments, especially because I straighten and blow-dry my hair, which can cause my hair can become dry and fried. I was excited to use the Philip B Light-Weight Deep Conditioning Crème Rinse and was hoping to see results right away.

I hopped in the shower and read the directions, which are pretty standard for deep conditioning: take a small amount and work through wet hair. This product has two options after working the product into hair; you can either comb the conditioner through hair and wait a couple of minutes and rinse, or you can leave the conditioner in your hair for 20 minutes, wrapped in a warm towel. I chose the first option because I didn't have 20 minutes to spare. I put about a quarter-sized amount in my hand and noticed the smell immediately -- a fresh and clean scent! I worked the product easily through my hair and waited three minutes. After time was up, I rinsed my hair and let it air dry over night.

In the morning my hair was much easier to manage and felt much less frizzy and dry. Two nights later, I did the same process, but this time I straightened my hair the next morning. My hair was much easier to straighten, it felt softer, and was noticeably less frizzy.

I would recommend this product to anyone who uses heat styling tools. This is a great conditioner that will help keep strands smooth and soft. Even if you let your hair dry naturally, this conditioner is a great styling tool that helps keep hair easy to manage and manipulate into cute ‘dos!.

I recently had a rough experience with a hair stylist; a very expensive haircut and color that I was super-enthused about went haywire. After spending more money and finding a new, much more thorough stylist, I can sleep at night knowing that my hair no longer looks ridiculous. What’s my point?

My hair is a sensitive topic, and as a result of all that coloring and bleaching, it’s been dryer than usual. I needed to find a product that would give my hair a nice big gulp of moisture, and that’s why I was so excited to try ApHogee’s Serious Care and Protection Balancing Moisturizer.

I applied the sweet-smelling product liberally to my hair after shampooing. I let it sit for several minutes, and rinsed. Even with my hair still soaking wet, my strands felt significantly softer.

After I blow-dried my poor locks, I was more than pleasantly surprised. My hair felt silky and smooth (Finesse Shampoo model in a hair commercial style). Finally, my strands got the drink they so desperately needed, and my hair took much less time to dry (see photo of my hair without adding in my usual products!). Plus, there’s an added bonus: my hair was protected from humidity.

Without question, I will be using this moisturizer again and again. If your hair is also in need of some extra love, grab yourself an 8 ounce bottle of this miracle worker by visiting aphogee.com and finding your local Sally Beauty Supply Store. The Balancing Moisturizer is just $6.29. I give it the highest of recommendations!

Product Review: John Masters Organics Lavender and Avocado Intensive Conditioner

Rich, delicious, luxurious conditioners that don't have chemicals and aren't coconut oil (disaster!) are hard to find. So you can imagine how excited I was to squeeze the thick, creamy John Masters Lavender and Avocado Intensive Conditioner into my palm in the shower. It smells like bedtime and instantly relaxes you with its pampering thickness.

John Masters Lavender and Avocado Intensive Conditioner can be used after every shampoo or as a once-weekly treatment, as necessary, and is safe for dry (thanks mountain air!) and color-treated hair. You just apply it after shampooing, leave it on for 1-5 minutes, and rinse. Then, your hair looks like this:

No seriously. All I did was shampoo, conditioner, and air-dry. Look how soft!

The avocado oil moisturizes and conditions the hair, while the lavender oil reportedly slows hair loss AND treats eczema and dermatitis on the scalp. I love how utterly soft and almost even buttery my hair feels after using this conditioner. For me, John Masters Lavender and Avocado Intensive Conditioner is simply the best chemical-free conditioner I've tried.
